If you want to get paid to report on publishing or write book reviews, this is the place to be.

I’m not going to sugarcoat it: there are fewer places to pitch book coverage to every year, and rates tend to be lower. I only include publications that pay freelance writers. I’ve included rates to the best of my ability.

A few ground rules for using this list:

  1. Don’t use AI to pitch!!!

  2. Follow their guidelines. Read their publications before you pitch. Submissions may be closed now and reopened later.
