How to Write a Letter of Introduction That Lands Clients

Plus the Exact Template I Use

Simply put, a letter of introduction is exactly what it sounds like: a letter written to introduce potential clients to your services. The type of letter of introduction you use might depend on who you’re connecting with. For instance, when I send LOIs to pet-related brands, I put my pet writing experience front and center. But when I’m looking to connect with someone outside of that space, I’ll use different examples of my work.

The beauty of a letter of introduction is that it’s a proactive instead of reactive. You’re making the first move to connect with clients. But that also makes it hard. It’s just you, sitting in front of your computer, sending off multiple LOIs to different potential clients. Sometimes you never hear back.

But sometimes you do.
