WineMaker publishes technical features, step-by-step recipe articles, general interest features with commercial and amateur winemakers, and more for an audience of American and Canadian home winemakers.

VinePair is open to pitches on drink news and stories about coffee, wine, spirits, beer, and more. VinePair wants reported articles, news stories, long-form features, personal essays with greater cultural context, cocktail recipes, and more.

Food & Wine wants pitches “from writers, recipe developers, and photographers with a broad range of perspectives and backgrounds that will inspire and empower our wine and food devoted audience to discover, create, and devour the best in food, drink, and travel.”

Drink of the Week is open to pitches on barware, distilling, drinking, party/entertaining tips, bar food, and more.

$250-$500 for short-form stories, $500-$1,000 for long-form stories

Swurl Magazine publishes short-form and long-form stories on wine. This pitch call was for its first fall print edition.

12. Going

Going publishes stories on travel and destinations. While Going doesn’t specifically look for wine-related stories, it is a good place to pitch destination-based stories, so if you have a story on a winery or a wine-related experience, try pitching Going.
